What is Stand Tall For America?
Stand Tall for America is a website in progress - and we're just getting started.
With your help, it will be the online organizing center for Americans who care about progressive policy change that tackles the tough problems facing our country -- including health care, tax reform, net neutrality, and more.
It's sponsored by Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) and paid for by Wyden for Senate, but it's really about you.
We really can tackle the tough problems. But only if we stand together. Only if we Stand Tall for America.

Tax Reform: Tell Senator Wyden what you think.
Nobody likes paying taxes, that's for sure. But taxes are the price we pay for living in this great country. Taxes are the way that we share the burden of paying for the things that we-the-people believe make our country a better place.
But taxes shouldn't be unfair. And they shouldn't be complicated.
It shouldn't take an army of experts to understand and fill out a tax form.
Senator Wyden's plan does three things:
#1. Ensure that all Americans can fill out a one-page tax form, without expert help.
#2. Slash six tax brackets to three, and wipe out a bunch of special-interest loopholes, exclusions, exemptions, deductions, deferrals, and credits.
#3. End the Paris Hilton Effect. Let's treat wages from work and income from investments the same.
Read more about Senator Wyden's Fair Flat Tax and tell us what you think. How long does it take you to do your taxes now? What difference would an easier tax system make in your life?
Let's start a conversation about making taxes flat, fair, and simple.

Tax reform is a wonderful idea especially if it can be filed on a simple postcard. The only problem I see is how would income be determined? That may be a problem. Perhaps you could answer that. I’m afraid some types of income would be acceptable and others would be exempt and how would the average person know which is which without seeking expert advice. Other than that I could support it. Keep up the good work.
